We kicked off the holiday season with our second holiday boutique collaboration with SAN (South Asian Network). This time around, not only were we on board to support the women who make our products, along with other fair trade friends, but a portion of all sales went to support the community work that SAN does in advancing the health, well being, and civil rights of South Asians in Southern California.
We just received a brand new shipment of bags, stoles, runners and mats and napkin sets, just in time to roll out for the event. As always, it was fun to be welcomed so warmly by our wonderful hosts and all the kind people who took time out to enjoy some wonderfully fashionable bags, jewelry and other decorations that support fair trade.
We really appreciate the help of Nisha and Heerva who worked with Adnan to manage the rHope booth. Kristeen enjoyed organizing the event with Shikha and Saima and appreciate Sonali for opening her home, as well as Manju for the continued support.
Other featured vendors included: Laurel of Vivaverde who carried products from matrboomie.com and matatraders. Sarita from fair-trade-products.com was also present with her fair trade jewelry and scarves.
The women really outdid themselves with the new vegan leather bags (100% animal product free) and an assortment of other items. Events like these truly help our mission to support our wonderful artisans and bring their hard work to new audiences. If you would like to host an event in the Southern California area, or know of any event we could attend, please do contact us.
